We Will Remember

“I shall remember the deeds of Yah; Surely I will  remember Your wonders of old (Psalm 77:11).”

To God be the glory! Today, we meet in our new worship center. Ten months ago, on June 20, 2024, we began     constructing our new building. Here we are today,  thanking God for all He has done through the ministry of Grace Harvest Bible Church.

We began meeting at Swift Creek Elementary in 2006 as a church plant. In 2008, we bought 6 acres at our current location, so in 2009, we met at the Amelia County High cafeteria. Our average attendance in 2008 was 60. We began construction of our first worship  center in June 2009. We had our first service in the new building on December 24, 2009. When we moved into    our new building, the average weekly attendance was 66.

We purchased an additional 8 acres between 2010 and 2013. In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, we built our children’s building. We opened that building in the spring of 2021. Four years later, we moved into our  new worship center, with a weekly average attendance of 217.

As we begin the next phase of our church, may we keep in mind the mission of our church: to GO-GATHER-GROW-GO. May we always be faithful to GO and share the gospel of Jesus Christ, to GATHER those who come to saving faith and GROW them in their faith through discipleship, and then to GO and share the gospel’s good news.

None of this would have been accomplished without     God and the faithful members of GHBC being obedient to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May  Christ receive all of the honor and glory for what He has done at Grace Harvest Bible Church.

Next week, we will celebrate the grand opening of our new worship center. The elders will recognize three men obedient to God’s calling and instrumental in bringing Grace Harvest Bible Church to fruition: Dr. John Marks, Pastor Ronnie Brown, and David Listrom.
