“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:” Ecclesiastes 3:1
Dear Church Family,
It is with a heavy heart that I write to you today. Pastor Jamie Ezzell has resigned as a pastor and elder of Grace Harvest Baptist Church, and his last day of serving this church in that capacity will be Sunday, November 28, 2021. Pastor Jamie and Jessie plan on remaining members of Grace Harvest, and He has accepted a position with an IT company that will allow him to work from home. I fully support his reasons and decision to step down. He will be speaking to you, his church family, after the service on Sunday.
It is with mixed emotions that I write this letter to you. I rejoice with Pastor Jamie and Jessie as they celebrate the birth of their twins, but I am saddened that I will no longer be serving with Pastor Jamie. He has faithfully served this body since January of 2013 as an Associate Pastor of Youth and Children. In the nine years that I have served with him, he has been an encouragement to me and many others. It has been a privilege to serve alongside Pastor Jamie, and I am a better Pastor because of him.
The Elders have already started to pray about God sending us a qualified man to fill the Associate Pastor of Youth and Children position. I would encourage you to pray as well as we seek God’s will for us at Grace Harvest.
Your shepherd,
Pastor Mark
