Love One Another

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him.

1 John 5:1

I get asked all the time, “Pastor how can I know that I am saved”. One of the signs of a true believer of Christ is that you love God. Throughout Gods Word we are commanded to love the Lord our God with all our heart mind and soul.

A clear sign that you love God is that you love His children. That is, you love your brothers and sisters in Christ. There is no room for hatred in a Christian’s life. We are to love “whoever has been born of Him”. This means everyone regardless of their race, the color of their skin, economic status or whatever prejudices that we might have.

Love is a litmus test to determine if you belong to God. Jesus Himself said, “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:35). So what about you? Do you love who God loves or do you pick and choose who you will love?
