Faithfulness in Every Season

For God is not unrighteous so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, in having ministered and continuing to minister to the saints.

Hebrews 6:10

Today we say goodbye to Wes and Michelle Parrish with both gratitude and sadness. After many years of faithful service, they are relocating to Connecticut to care for Michelle’s mother.

Wes and Michelle have been part of Grace Harvest since our early days, meeting at Amelia High School in 2008, joining the church in 2010. From the outset, they have consistently been dedicated and faithful servants. They have ministered together, serving our youth. They took their own vacation time to go on week-long summer youth trips out of state. They have served in our children's ministry, teaching 5th- and 6th-graders as well as serving in children's church. They have served volunteering in AWANA for over 8 years. Michelle has faithfully served on the worship team for more than 15 years. Wes served as a deacon for three years with humility and compassion.

Their lives exemplify the faithfulness Scripture urges us to embody: “Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful (1 Corinthians 4:2).” We find reassurance in Hebrews 6:10, confident that God sees and values their loving service to the saints. Over the past 18 years, they have consistently served faithfully within the GHBC church family, often working quietly behind the scenes. Even in their departure, they demonstrate obedience. Their dedication to caring for Michelle’s mother reflects the principles of 1 Timothy 5:8 and honors the Lord.

They will be deeply missed, but we rejoice that Christ continues His work in and through them. Please pray for their transition, for strength as they care for their family, and for the Lord to quickly plant them in a faithful church.

Wes and Michelle, you are dearly loved. Your faithfulness has left a lasting mark on this body.

Your shepherd,

Pastor Mark
