Waiting on God!

Wait for Yahweh; be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for Yahweh.

Psalm 27:14

There are seasons in every believer's life when heaven seems silent. We pray earnestly. We plead with tears. We wait, hoping for an answer that never seems to come. In those moments, it is easy to wonder if God has forgotten us or if our prayers have somehow gone unheard. Yet Scripture reminds us that God's silence is never the same as God's absence.

The Lord declares through Isaiah, "My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways." Our perspective is limited to the present moment, but God sees the end from the beginning. He is orchestrating every detail according to His perfect wisdom, even when we cannot understand what He is doing.

God's silence is not rejection. It is often preparation. Sometimes He is strengthening our faith, teaching us to trust Him rather than our circumstances. Other times He is working behind the scenes in ways we cannot yet see. His delays are never accidental, and His timing is always perfect.

Think of Abraham waiting decades for the promised son. Consider Joseph enduring years of slavery and imprisonment before God exalted him. Remember David, anointed as king long before he ever sat on Israel's throne. Even Martha and Mary had to wait while Jesus delayed coming to Lazarus, only to reveal a greater display of His glory. In every case, God's apparent delay accomplished something greater than an immediate answer ever could.

Waiting on God is not passive resignation; it is active trust. It is choosing to believe that our heavenly Father knows exactly what we need and exactly when we need it. We may not understand His ways today, but one day we will see that every unanswered prayer, every delay, and every season of silence was governed by His perfect love and infinite wisdom.

If you are waiting today, do not lose heart. Keep praying. Keep trusting. Keep obeying. The God who hears every prayer has never made a mistake, and He has not begun with yours. His silence is not His rejection; it is an invitation to trust His heart when you cannot yet see His hand.
