Last Days!

But know this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 Tim 3:1

Can it get any worse? That is a question many Christians ask. It seems as if the world has gone crazy. In our own country, we have witnessed a seismic shift in our culture. What was once considered wrong is not right. What    once was considered evil is now viewed as good.

However, this should come as no shock to believers.

When Paul wrote his last letter, he was in prison and would soon be executed by the Romans. He warned    Timothy that during the last days, “men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, without gentleness, without love for good,  treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,  holding to a form of godliness, but having denied its power. Keep away from such men as these”    (2 Tim 3:2-4). You don’t have to look far to see that everything Paul warned about has happened. Does this mean that we are in the last days? Maybe. But does that change anything for us as Christians? Yes. There should be an urgency for all believers to live lives that reflect to whom we belong.

As slaves of Christ, we should live in a way that tells the world we belong to Him. Every believer should live as though the rapture could occur at any moment because it can. We all know family, friends, and acquaintances who do not know Jesus as Lord and Savior. Have you shared with them the Gospel of Jesus Christ? Jesus could come today to call His church home. Let us be faithful to proclaim the Gospel to a lost and dying World.

Your shepherd,

Pastor Mark
